My name is Andie and I'm the proud owner of Bella Ballerina Rock Hill. Our mission is to create a warm, safe, and loving environment where every child can thrive. We believe that every child deserves to feel valued, supported, and encouraged, and I’m proud to provide a space where they can grow both as dancers and individuals.
Growing up, I was immersed in a competitive dance environment, which was both thrilling and challenging. While I had a very successful competitive dance career, I also experienced some of the pressures that come with being a young dancer striving for perfection. These experiences shaped my understanding of the importance of balance—of pushing ourselves while also being kind to our minds and bodies. I know how it feels to want to succeed so badly, but I also know how important it is to have a foundation of support, love, and self-compassion.
As much as I loved dance, I also had a strong desire to help others in a different way, which led me to pursue a degree in Speech Language Pathology. It was always my dream to work in the medical field and to help people communicate. After seven successful years as a speech language pathologist, something was calling me back to dance. Bella Ballerina perfectly combines my love of dance, literacy, pretend play, and imagination - all things that are so important in childhood.
I am happy to say I am still a practicing Speech Language Pathologist, on top of owning this studio! We offer several free events in the Rock Hill community monthly to bring the joy of dance to children and families who might not get to experience it otherwise. It has been an exhilarating time as I step into the role of a business owner. We were incredibly humbled to have won the Best of South Carolina 2024 Award for Best Dance Studio less than a year of opening.
